FAQs: Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Prints typically take 1-3 business days to fulfill + 5-7 business days to arrive. Original paintings are subject to drying times and customs delays but can be expected to arrive within 4-6 weeks of purchasing.

How can I track my order?

When your order is shipped you should receive a number to track it (please check your junk/spam folder if not). If for some reason you did not receive this email please contact us at info@samssketchbooks.com

Will I have to pay taxes/duties on my order?

If you live in the US, no.

If you see ‘duties/taxes may apply’ in your shipping option, this means we do not collect tax and you will have to pay it for the order to clear customs.

How will my order arrive?

All prints will typically arrive in a cardboard tube. If you ordered an original painting, it will either arrive in tube or a cardboard box (depending on size), wrapped in bubble wrap and surrounded by stuffing to prevent it moving around too much while it’s on its way to you!

My order hasn’t arrived yet - what should I do?

First, please check the shipping address on your order email to ensure it is correct. If it is incorrect, please contact me to resolve it at info@samssketchbooks.com

If it is correct, please then check your tracking link to see where your order is. It may be that delivery has been attempted and that your package is being held at your local post office.

If you believe your package has been lost, please contact me at info@samssketchbooks.com

In some circumstances, e.g. failed delivery or incorrect address provided, your order may be returned to Sam Goetsch. For more information contact info@samssketchbooks.com

My print arrived damaged - what should I do?

Firstly, I’m so sorry to hear that. I do as much as I can to ensure prints arrive in pristine condition, however unfortunately some do get damaged in transport. In this instance, please send me a photo of the damaged tube and/or print(s) to info@samssketchbooks.com and I will resolve the issue.

I received the wrong item- what should I do?

I’m really sorry for the mix-up. While it’s rare, mistakes can occasionally happen. Please email me at info@samssketchbooks.com with a photo of the print you received, and we will send the correct item or offer a refund. You are welcome to keep the incorrect print, or gift it to a friend!

Where are the prints and paintings being made?

I work with FinerWorks Print Company in Texas to produce my prints at the highest quality and offer worldwide shipping.

All original artworks are hand-painted by me, Sam Goetsch, in my Minnesota based studio in the US.

What is the quality of the prints?

All prints are printed on matte paper (i.e. not glossy). I chose a cotton, museum-grade paper that is 100% 315gsm (almost identical to the paper I paint my originals on) which has a guaranteed life-span of at least 85 years.
